We specialise in transport assistance, household tasks, personal care, and community participation support.
Who is behind Mura Care?
Mura Care was founded by Sam Pearson, a proud Torres Strait Islander with over 15 years of experience in the Disability, Youth, and Community Services sectors. Sam is passionate about bridging the gap between mainstream services and local communities through culturally appropriate care.
What NDIS services do you provide?
We offer the following NDIS-funded support services:

All services are delivered with cultural sensitivity and respect for your individual needs.
Do you only support Indigenous clients?
No, while our services are culturally designed to meet the needs of Torres Strait Islander and Cape York peoples, we welcome and support all clients, Indigenous and non-Indigenous, who require respectful, personalised care.
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
We are in the process of completing full NDIS registration for certification-level supports. In the meantime, we can provide services to self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
What areas do you service?
We are based in Cairns and provide support services throughout Cape York and the Torres Strait Islands. Our service footprint extends across Far North Queensland, with plans to expand further in the future.
How do I access your services?
You can contact us directly via phone or email for an initial discussion. If you’re an NDIS participant, we’ll guide you through the process of engaging our services and setting up a Service Agreement tailored to your needs.
Can you help with transport to medical appointments?
Yes, we specialise in assisting clients with travel to and from medical appointments, community services, school, work, and social activities. Our transport services are delivered with an understanding of cultural and language needs.
How is Mura Care different from other support providers?
Our difference lies in cultural understanding and language fluency. Founder Sam Pearson and our team speak Torres Strait languages and understand community values, ensuring services are delivered in a respectful and relatable way.
How can I work for Mura Care?
We are always looking for passionate individuals, especially those with community ties and cultural knowledge, to join our team. If you have experience in disability support, hold the necessary qualifications, and are interested in working with us, please contact us for current opportunities.
